Smokey Mountain is located only five kilometres from the town of Labrador City and only seven kilometres from the Wabush Airport. The ski lifts are open from early to mid-November until late April with the best ski conditions of 100% natural snow.

With over 30 hectares (80+ acres) of skiable terrain, Smokey Mountain is a dream come true for all levels of skiers. The hill’s 845 meter (2769 ft) elevation and multiple well-groomed trails offer riders everything imaginable, including steep walls and open faces, all accessible by a double chair lift and two poma chairs. These lifts can transport over 2,000 people per hour. Truly, this makes Smokey one of the undiscovered secrets of Atlantic Canada’s ski experience.
There are qualified instructors on the hill at all times to provide one-on-one lessons to new skiers or snowboarders. Lessons are available to adults and children on a group or individual basis.

True northern hospitality can be enjoyed in the main lodge located at the base of the hill. The canteen service offers a great variety of cooked food and beverages. A large indoor BBQ pit is a favourite for family Friday Night Steak Nights and provides a relaxing ski atmosphere. Campbell’s Inn, the second lodge, is located at the base of the Birch, Pine and Kitzbuehel Runs and is a cozy place to relax away from the main lodge.

The club has 17 runs ranging in experience levels from easy to difficult. All are groomed on a regular basis to provide members and visitors with the best possible skiing conditions. The runs, which are monitored at all times by a Ski Patrol, are separated into three categories according to difficulty.
