My name is Jonathan Riviere.  I was born and raised here in Labrador City, I am the son of Ann Marie and Yvon Riviere who made Labrador City their home for 40 plus years. My mother owned and operated Ann Marie’s Flowers for 36 years and my father worked in various management roles in the area throughout his career. I’ve been working for IOCC as an Industrial Electrician for a total of ten years.

Some of my interests include Skiing, Snowshoeing, going to the cabin every chance I get along with taking advantage of the beautiful Tanya Lake Walking Trail. My passion for volunteering started at a very young age, some of the organizations I have been involved with were Scout Leader, Relay for Life, Ski Patroller with Canadian Ski Patrol, Cain’s Quest, Firefighter with Labrador City Fire Rescue for the past ten years. I’ve served on both Smokey Mountain and Menihek Nordic Ski Club Executive.

There is a lot of opportunity in Labrador West, and when we all work together there is no goal that can’t be achieved. My vision for this Town is to make this hidden gem a place that new families will want to come and make it their home while giving our seniors the resources to allow them to stay in the place they call home.
