My name is Dawn Willcott.  I was raised by Bruce & Elaine Benson in Labrador City along with my two sisters, Kristi Stoodley and Vicki Benson. My husband Michael Willcott, Jr. have raised our family here, Brett Willcott (son), and Alyssa Willcott (daughter).

My interests include: volunteering, skidooing, seadooing, kayacking, camping, and spending time with my family and friends.

And over the years I have volunteered for many activities and groups including: Volunteer experiences: Relay for Life, Winter Carnival, Cain’s Quest, Christmas party events, Retirement party events, Canada Day event, and door to door campaign for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My vision for the Town of Labrador City: I believe many heads are better than one to improve the community. I would like to take a collaborative effort with the people, town, options and budget to understand where the priorities are and the needs that need to be addressed and focused on first. Everything cannot be done at one time due to schedules, resources and time restraints as well as restrictions. I believe we can resolve more by focusing on the problems and prioritize them effectively. Of course this cannot be done without a group effort. So I hope to work with a great team where we can put our minds and skills together for the Town to help the community get where it needs to go. This town is our home. We would like to keep it home for ourselves, our children and the new people to come.
