Being a relatively isolated community means relying on each other and the community support programs in times of need. Labrador West has a number of support programs, groups and facilities available to help those in need.

Hope Haven Women’s Shelter

Hope Haven Transition House provides confidential, safe emergency shelter to women, with and without children, who are experiencing violence / abuse. Our fully accessible facility has the capacity to house 9 residents, with extra capacity if necessary (women and children), for a six-week period.

Labrador West Housing and Homelessness Coalition and the Habitat for Humanity groups actively work on solutions for those in need of affordable housing solutions.
