How can I report a stray or dangerous animal?

You can report a stray or dangerous animal by contacting the Town Hall at 944-2621 during regular hours of operation. After hours, please call 944-7832. Be prepared to provide details such as the animal’s location, description, and behavior.

What should I do if I find a lost pet?

If you find a lost pet, check for identification tags. If the pet has a microchip, take it to a veterinarian to scan for information. You can also report the found pet to animal control by calling 944-2621 Monday – Friday from 8 am – 4 pm. After hours, please call 944-7832. You could also post about it on community boards or social media.

Are there any fees for animal control services?

Every person who is served with a notice of violation may, within fourteen (14) days of the time when such notice was served, pay at the town hall the sum of $125.00

  • Impoundment fee $125 (dangerous dog $1,000)
  • Maintenance fee $20/day
  • Dog license fee $100 (spayed/neutered $10)
