Frontier 53 Phase 3

Phase 3 will take place over a three-year period, spanning the 2025–2027 construction seasons. The scope of work includes a 1.15 km extension of the main Tamarack Trail spine along Little Wabush Lake, a 200 m pathway connecting Gateway Labrador to the Town’s recreation area on Booth Avenue, and a 250 m bypass segment that will divert pedestrian traffic around a section of the White Wolf Snowmobile Club trail to allow for safe seasonal use.

Project Launch & Permitting
Initial planning activities begin. Permits are secured and construction is scheduled to avoid sensitive nesting seasons.
Early Construction – Priority Segments
Work begins on the Snowmobile Trail Bypass and the Gateway Link near Booth Avenue. These high-priority sections improve safety and access.
Main Trail Construction – Tamarack Segment
The 1.15 km Tamarack Trail extension along Little Wabush Lake is constructed in stages over the 2026–2027 seasons.
Signage & Gate Installation
Trail signage and access control gates are installed throughout the new segments to enhance wayfinding and protect users.
Project Completion & Close-Out
All construction wraps up by November 2027. Final claims are submitted by February 2028.
