The Town of Labrador City is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for its High School Scholarship Program. Through the program, two scholarships valued at $2,500 each will be awarded to eligible local students pursuing post-secondary education, trades training, apprenticeship programs, or other accredited educational opportunities.
The scholarship program is designed to recognize students who have demonstrated community involvement, personal achievement, resilience, and a commitment to their future goals. Academic marks will not be used as a determining factor except to confirm graduation requirements have been met.
Graduating students who have been residents of Labrador City for at least one year and who meet the program eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Applicants are required to complete the application form, submit a personal statement, provide two letters of reference, and include supporting documentation related to their post-secondary plans.
