Outdoor Playing Fields/Courts

Bev Martin Softball Field - The softball season runs from June to September for the Wabush Ladies Slo-Pitch Fun League. We also have available rental times during the season. Call or email for more information: 709-282-6685 or recreation@wabush.ca

Indoor Pool/Playing Fields/Courts

Mike Adam Recreation Complex (M.A.R.C.) - has various facilities within: Swimming Pool, Gymnasium, Weight Room, Bowling Alley, Teen Center, and Meeting Rooms. Rental contracts are available for the Gym/Pool/Bowling Alley. Call or email for more information: 709-282-6685 or recreation@wabush.ca

Our community playgrounds are situated throughout our town: The Jean Kelly playground is located on Bowater Drive and is the largest of the three. The other play areas can be found on Grenfell Drive, and Squires Ave. These spaces are fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Bill Chaplin Arena - A busy winter schedule every year for ice hockey and figure skating. Public Skating, hockey camps and figure skating camps are held throughout the winter. Jean Lake Walking Trail - a well maintained walking trail is accessible during all seasons in Labrador. Many enjoy the beautiful scenery and small wildlife spotted on their walks. The LabradorWest Weight Room welcomes those ages 16+ . Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:00am - 10:00pm; Saturday and Sundays 11:00am - 10:00pm. Membership cards can be purchased at the M.A.R.C. any time during the week. We accept debit during Office hours (Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm); and cash or cheque 8:00am - 10:00pm 7 days a week. Outdoor Ice Rink

The outdoor ice rink significantly enhances Wabush's winter activities, providing a valuable recreational option for families. Jean Lake Dog Park

Jean Lake Dog Park offers a welcoming environment for pets to enjoy outdoor activities. Situated at the Jean Lake picnic area, it features waste disposal stations to maintain cleanliness. Pet owners are advised to avoid bringing aggressive animals into the park to ensure safety for all visitors and their pets. Proper behavior and responsible pet management are essential for a positive experience at this community space.
